“Itinerario”

Day 1: Cusco – Tinki – Upis

This day we will leave Cusco early in the morning, southeast of the city towards the community of Tinki (3800 masl.), The trip will take 3 hours, here we will meet our crew for our next adventure, after 3 hours of walking approx. . We will stop for lunch, and here we will have a great view of the highest snow-capped mountain in Cusco Ausangate. After a break we start the walk through a dry climate with little vegetation for another 2 hours before reaching our Upis camp (1400 ft.).

Day 2: Upis – Ausangate Cocha mountain

After a delicious breakfast prepared by our chef, we will begin our day with a walk of approximately 4 hours until we reach Arapa, the first pass (16000 feet.) With impressive views, after taking some photos we will begin our descent, where our crew will be waiting for us with lunch. Then we will continue along trails, passing through three beautiful lakes: Yanacocha, HatunPukacocha and Qomerqocha. On our way we will also see many snow-capped peaks and then we will begin the walk towards the second pass, the opening of Apuchata (16500 feet), And finally another 45 minutes of descent until we reach our Ausangate Cocha camp (14500 feet.).

Day 3: Ausangate Cocha Mountain – Jampa

Today, with an early start, the hike begins with a two-hour climb to reach the third Palomani pass (15000 feet), The highest pass of the trek, then we descend for another two hours here we will find many South American camels such as Llamas and Alpacas, and again many snowy peaks. We’ll have lunch in Pampa (4220 masl.) and then we go to our last camp Jampa (14400 feet).

Day 4: Jampa – Pacchanta

After breakfast walk for approx. 2 hours to reach the Jampa pass (16400 feet) Then descend approx. 5 hours to the lake and then climb to Qomercocha Pacchanta (14400 feet), This is a small community with incredible hot springs, which we will enjoy.

Day 5: Pacchanta – Tinki – Cusco

This day is the last of our adventure around the Ausangate mountain, after three hours of hiking we will arrive in Tinki, where our driver will pick us up and take us back to Cusco and we will drop you off at your hotel.

Itinerary

After breakfast at your Hotel,  your guide together with your driver will pick you up

In your hotel lobby and in a private van you will be transferred to the beginning of the trek. This tour will take you to one of the preserved Inca Trails and breathtaking views, as well as the opportunity to learn about local agricultural techniques and explore some little visited Inca ruins.  The route travels well above Cusco and the peripheral city of Chinchero until it reaches the town of Tauca at 3850 meters above sea level. The tour will last approximately 8 hours, we will begin with a steep climb of more or less two hours to reach the highest point of the walk, the Tauca pass at 4200 MSNM. The highest pass in the area, a beautiful view of the Sacred Valley of the Incas and the imposing snow-capped hills such as Pumahuanca and Chicon.  We will rest to take some photos. Then the rest of the terrain of the day is flat or downhill, passing herds of llamas and alpacas. The walk goes through the rustic town of Pucamarca. You will arrive at a particularly picturesque place to enjoy a picnic lunch or a snack. Continuing, the outline of the high ridge takes you to the entrance doors of Huchuy Cusco and the incredible agricultural terrace. We will visit the place for a time of one hour and then we will descend towards the sacred valley of the Incas all the way down with some unique views,

Until we reach the town of Lamay. Here our driver will be waiting for us to bring us back to Cusco and return you to your hotel.

Itinerario

El tour del Valley Sagrado de los Incas empieza a las 8 de la mañana. Donde nuestro guía junto a su conductor lo recogerán del lobby de su hotel para primero dirigirnos hacia el pueblo de Pisaq, en el trayecto realizaremos paradas primero en el Awanacancha, esta es una granja, donde encontraremos no solo la variedad de camélidos andinos como llamas, alpacas, guanacos y vicuñas sino también un grupo de nativos de diferentes comunidades del Perú vestidos con sus ropa tradicional, y todos ellos practicando el arte del tejido y teñido de textiles. Luego, haremos un aparada en el mirador de Taray, de aquí tendremos una hermosa vista del famoso Valle Sagrado de Los Incas, fotos y continuaremos el viaje esta vez hacia las ruinas de Pisac con vistas panorámicas de los picos de granito irregulares antes de detenerse en la ciudad para visitar uno de los mejores mercados textiles de los Andes. Allí, podrá buscar recuerdos y aprender sobre la cultura local, almorzar aquí y luego tendremos un hermoso paseo por el Valle Sagrado. La siguiente parada es Ollantaytambo a 9,200 pies, este es un pequeño pueblo con impresionantes restos incas, realizaremos una visita al sitio arqueológico y luego nos dirigiremos hacia Chinchero este lugar será nuestra ultima parada, conocida por estar ubicado a 3700 msnm. Con una imponente iglesia construida en adobe sobre un palacio Inca iglesia colonial rodeada de decenas de terrazas Incas, aquí podremos realizar compras de una variedad sourvenirs antes de realizar nuestro viaje de retorno a Cusco.

Ruben/Juan was great with questions and provided a lot of valuable information as I was planning parts on my own instead using a set tour, partially due to wanting to climb one of the optional peaks which you need to book months in advance. We then hit a snag with my wife’s passport and Ruben happily rearranged the tour for us even though we gave last minute notice.
Our tour guide Wagner met us where the bus dropped us of (can be arranged to pick up from your hotel as well), and we spent the next two hours learning a lot about the history of the site and he took us away from the crowds, and accommodated our photos requests. After we hung around and explored on our own until it was time to leave….

Itinerary

The Lima city tour will begin in the lobby of your Hotel, where our Guide and your designated driver will pick you up to first go to the Historic Center of the metropolitan city of Lima and its history. Once here we will start visiting the Plaza Mayor where we will see the impressive Archbishop’s Palace with a finely carved balcony, the Government Palace which is currently the official residence of the President of the Republic of Peru and the Cathedral of Lima from the 16th century whose first stone was laid by the famous conqueror Fransisco Pizarro. Then we will continue our walk until we reach the San Francisco monastery complex built in the seventeenth century with its magnificent Sevillian tiles, profusely carved ceilings, exceptional paintings, the world-renowned library,   the impressive Catacombs built under the church and finally we will also visit the Costa Verde “green coast” which is the park of lovers. This tour will last approximately 5 hours and will start at the time that suits you best.

At the end of the tour, you will return to your hotel and have the rest of the day to explore the Miraflores neighborhood on your own or we can also take you to the Lima airport.

Tipon Wather Temple

Itinerary

The tour begins at 8 in the morning, we will meet you in the lobby of your hotel where your  guide and driver will be waiting and we will begin our visit with first the Sistine Chapel of San Pedro Apóstol de Andahuaylillas, within which we can see one of the only chapels that It has a wall decorated with the famous Italian Fresco technique with the representation of Paradise, hell and the aftermath, these on each side of the entrance to the chapel and on the cornice a painting of the Virgin Mary. After visiting this beautiful chapel we will go towards the archaeological zone of Tipon, a beautiful architectural construction dedicated to Water with a number of agricultural terraces and an impressive quantity and quality of water channels which will show us the high knowledge of hydraulics in Inca times. We will visit this place for a period of 45 minutes and then return to Cusco, where we will stop at the entrance to the city of Cusco through the south zone. This entrance  was protected by the guardians in Rumiqolqa the area to access the city of Cusco in Inca times a very wide and thick wall well protected.  After time for  some photos we will go to our final stop, the ruins of Pikillacta, built first by the Huari Chanca culture and finally inhabited by the Incas. These ruins have a diameter of two km. squares in length and width within which we will see a fascinating distribution of squares, streets, warehouses, farms and houses, very well organized structurally and all of these protected with a paved wall within.We will also be able to observe the principles of the construction of the Pre Inca Roads.

After approximately 45 minutes visiting the place we will return to Cusco and we will return you to your hotel. This will be the

end of the tour.
